Dallas-based food stylist Angela Yeung wins Food Network Challenge DALLAS _ Dallas-based food stylist Angela Yeung has cooked in Paris, New Orleans, and even the South Pole, but this year the Food Network challenged her to something new. Yeung was in Denver in February to compete for a $10,000 prize on the "Food Magicians" episode of the Food Network Challenge, which aired July 12. She was the rookie in the competition that pitted her against three other food stylists, in three rounds of making delectable food magic in a race against the clock. The competition went down to the wire, but in the end Angela pulled ahead in the last round and won. Yeung's culinary career has taken her around the world to work for award-winning chefs and make a name of her own. She started at age 19 in New Orleans and worked for James Beard award winners Susan Spicer and Donald Link. From there, she went to culinary school in Paris at Ecole Gregoire Ferrandi, staged at Michelin Star Le Violin D'ingres under Chef Christian Constant and most recently was the pastry chef at Luca D’Italia in Denver before moving to Dallas to become a food stylist three years ago.
